  • This is the Social Psychology Research Laboratory?s (SPYRL?s) Online Recruitment System for Economic Experiments (ORSEE). We use this system to schedule laboratory experiments and to run online surveys and experiments. The data collected is solely for scientific research. It will not be disclosed to third parties. The data will be used to select participants for certain experiments and to help participants learn about new experiments.
When you register, please enter your details in the compulsory fields carefully. Once you have entered your information, you will not be able to change them yourself (except the email address). If any changes are required, please contact us at spyrlucr@gmail.com. We recognize that you may have some concerns regarding how we protect your personal information and privacy. Below we describe our basic procedures and policies. Any specific experiment may use additional safeguards. If you have questions regarding this website or SPYRL, you may contact us at spyrlucr@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can contact Prof. Jan Stets or Prof. Scott V. Savage directly.

      Laboratory Experiments
      • If you decide to sign up for a laboratory experiment, you will have to provide some personal information. Typically, you will be required to provide your name, age, sex, race/ethnicity, email address, and phone number. Some experiments may require additional information. All personal information will be housed in a secure, password-protected file on a secure, password-protected server. This data will not be connected to data generated during the experiment.

      • Unless otherwise stated, data collected during an experiment will have no identifying information attached to it and will be under the control of the study's principal investigator. Effectively, this will mean your behaviors and responses during the experiment will be anonymous.

      • Any published reports coming out of research enabled by ORSEE will present findings in the aggregate, in order to protect individual?s identities.

      • You can unsubscribe from our register at any time by using the unsubscribe button on your account profile. If you do that we will not contact you again. However, if you change your mind in the future, please register again with the same email address and your participation history will be recovered.
